Energy Creation is very proud of this recent solar panel array installed on a liquid membrane flat roof in Lewes, East Sussex. The solar panels have been installed on a New Build home to help provide a saving in electricity. The Solar Panels will add value towards the SAP and code of sustainability for the property. The client is very happy to have the opportunity to apply for the feed in tariff. The solar installation as a whole should pay for itself in under 10 years.
The project was built using light weight metal framework. You will see two rows one installed in portrait and the other in landscape, to minimise the impact aesthetically from the ground. It was important to ensure that these two rows were split on independent trackers from within the inverter in order for it to work properly as the pitches are slightly different. Each row is tracking the sun independently of each other this way.
The inverter has been installed in the plant room / electricity cupboard. The DC cable was run in conduit over a short distance. Its handy to have the inverter in such an accessible position as the client is able to see the screen and its read outs. Its not essential that the inverter is super accessible, although it must be able to be maintained. You can get solar panel monitoring that can upload information about the inverter to the internet meaning you can view it from anywhere in the world where you have an internet connection.
