Installing solar panels onto a zinc roof is relatively simple. If the zinc roof is suitable then a purpose made clamp can be purchased to clamp the panels onto the roof. That is what energy creation have done right here. Solar panels have been fitted to the zinc roof using specialist fixings.
This particular installation is considered an on-roof or retro-fit system. If you are considering a building project with a zinc roof then it would be highly recommended that you install solar panels in-roof rather than on-roof, that way you can save money on the cost of the roof that will in most cases pay for the solar installation. The solar installation could then become part of your roof.
In this case, the roof was already installed so we had to fit the panels on top of the roof. Still a neat little install providing 4kW of power to this home in the South of England.
