The benefits of SolarEdge equipment is resulting in solar panels installers across the world are flocking to the brand.
In both the residential and commercial solar panel markets; SolarEdge benefits from being the global market leader in solar PV inverters.
During the sales process, as a SolarEdge installer, we have been promoting the benefits. Pleased with their decision, customers have enjoyed the benefits of using SolarEdge particularly.
SolarEdge are not the only inverter manufacture, there are many to choose from. We discuss how to find which inverter provides the best value.
First of all, let’s discuss what a solar PV inverter is. The solar PV Inverter is responsible for converting the DC (direct current) electricity into AC (alternating current). Homes in the UK typically use AC electricity. The inverter also makes sense of the voltages and currents coming in from the panels making it usable in the home or business.
Traditional inverters, used in a solar panel system, typically have several strings of solar panels. In most cases 1-6 strings. the strings are then connected in series. Perhaps you will remember, Christmas tree lights were wired in a similar way back in the day. If one bulb in the string went the whole set stopped working. This is similar to how traditional inverters and solar panel strings work. If one of the panels in the string gets shaded by a tree, passing cloud, or anything else, the others will all drop production to that of the shaded panel. Shading can come from things like leaves, bird droppings, snow, Shading, and soiling.
SolarEdge, the performance of each panel is not affected by the other and each solar panel works individually and independently through the use of a SolarEdge optimiser. Therefore producing more solar power.
SolarEdge is also considered a smart inverter. Therefore it manages your PV system, and supports future upgrades to extended its capabilities to allow for battery storage, EV charging, and smart energy.
